The Green Room
She lived in a green house, feeling restricted by the green walls, eager to escape and explore the colours of the world again.
She missed the vibrant hues of the flowers in the fields, the deep blue of the ocean, and the warm golden glow of the sunsets.
Every day, she longed to break free from the confines of her monochromatic surroundings and immerse herself in the kaleidoscope of colours that she knew existed beyond her green walls.
The Green Room is an exploration of the experience of feeling confined by time, being held captive by its passage and awaiting one's fate with patience. It delves into the longing to break free from the present circumstances in search of a better outcome.
However, it also addresses the weight of unresolved past emotions resurfacing in the future if not properly addressed and healed. In various faiths and perspectives, time is not viewed as strictly linear.
Through this project, I aim to investigate how the inability to let go of current situations can lead to uncomfortable yet profound emotions, serving as a poignant reminder of our humanity and the realisation that we cannot control everything, including time.
This exploration of the complexities of time and emotion will hopefully shed light on the universal struggles we all face in navigating our existence.
